Photographs l have taken capturing moments and beautiful scenery alike around the medieval town of Sandwich and surrounding areas in Kent and added to nature and inspiration quotes and accompanied with music. Sandwich, Kent I live in the beautiful and historic town of Sandwich in Kent in the southeast of England. The River Stour lies on the edge of the town. Originally, Sandwich was one of the Cinque Ports, and we have many medieval buildings here from the original construction time. Sandwich is two miles from the coast, and although once it was a major port in its own right, this is no longer the case due to the silting up of the River Stour. Gazen Salts Nature Reserve The woodlands are home to many species of flora also such as primroses, celandine, dog rose, oak, ash, wild cherry, elm, field maple, wild privet, marsh marigold, marshmallow, meadowsweet, black bush, yellow iris and many other exciting plants of interest. The lake and the waterways in the Reserve are sustained by a sluice gate connected to the River Stour. The waters further feed and play host to a diverse range of wildlife, including species such as sticklebacks, pond skaters, diving beetles, frogs and toads, newts, kingfishers, moorhens, bats, rats, shrews, weasels, stoats, foxes, hedgehogs, moles, water voles, grass snakes, mallard, tufted, pochard and shoveler ducks, warblers, woodpeckers, blackcaps, sparrowhawks, grey squirrels, parakeets and others including many butterfly species too. Hey Eugenia, many thanks.
There are three galleried series that are published presently, Wild Walks, Natural Encounters and Ewww [Worm Gallery] . These are being used as archive content series and aim to build the ambience of the blog up and set the environment.
It is still being tweaked, and there are changes being made all the time to the blog. I am a bit of a pedant when it comes to detail.
But it’s getting there, only last night l created a membership with Royalty Free Music so that l can make the music snips more professional.
Glad you like it 🙂

Your keenness for detail shines, Rory. I love to tweak my blog and probably go overboard at times.

I remember years ago, a mentor telling me that the ‘devil is in the details’.
When l quizzed him, he basically said that at times too many people ignore the details of something believing them to be unimportant and if ignored, on occasion bigger problems are hidden from the eye.
These days l now go overboard in the details. This is to be a business blog, its role is to garner traffic. It’ll not be the usual, because the usual business blogs annoy me and l don’t like annoying me, also l don’t like annoying people. So l find ways that will not annoy people.
Therefore everything has to be looked at with scrutiny. I am treating the preparation of this blog like l would do when opening up a Flagship store when l used to do that in the 90’s.
The details are everything – they tell a person what you stand for, your likes, your mission statement, who you are, display your personality.
You carry on Eugenia with precision of detail orientation – it is effective and productive and never wasted.
