      1. Oy! That’s not good!
I wonder if your stomach would tolerate drinks like Gatorade, or something similar. Instead of drinking plain water, that might help🤷🏼‍♀️

We’re falling apart, and the weather is less forgiving. I thought our heat wave was over, but it was 35°C and gross humid with no breeze today. I can’t tolerate weather like this. It honestly makes me nauseous.

Whine, whine, whine… 🤪 all I need now is some cheese to go with my whine😂😂

      2. Hahaha Cheese and whine!!

But you are not wrong, l was researching this morning on why l am was on a state of collapse?

A few things, autism has certain problems associated with sensitivity – one l have noticed getting older is an intolerance with heat, the other thing is my diet is far from stable and l am lacking nutrients. I am going to get myself tested for diabetes in case l am developing that – my father had it so it’s in the family.

But l am also losing a lot of sleep, haven’t had quality sleep for months now.

More whine with your cheese Mate?

  1. Hey Rory, thinking of you and Suze happily planning, clearing and organizing your wonderful new garden plot. Thank you for the good morning wishes. I return them to you as best wishes for a pleasant afternoon and evening. 😊

    1. Hey Betty, a busy day. We started work in the allotment on Friday for a couple of hours and today for another five. It looks pretty tidy but as suze and l know looks can be deceiving.

We have discovered a lot of mess, but we are in no rush, we will get it done 🙂

  2. That is beautiful pics … I love the last one where ever that was taken ❤️

We are currently having Armageddon sunrises and sunset if you can find the sun in the smoke – it’s all weird.

But I love your last photo 😊❤️

      1. 10% contained 🙌 its a start!

Hard to breath in the smoke sometimes. And you smell like fire 🙄

The sky is this dirty gray orange color and the sun a orange ball 🍊

But at least our temps dropped – I am loving that ❤️ that also helps fire fighting effort – not insane heat anymore

Oh yeah and it rains ash… your car will keep getting ash on it … like small snow – but is ash

      2. Nice.

I remember once many years ago, l must have been maybe 5 or 6 years of age, my sister wasn’t long born, so l guess the age is about right. It was the summer of 68 anyway and we were living in the New South Wales territory and on the outskirts of Sydney and there was a huge massive fire raging along the highway.

We had to drive through it and l remember we had a police escort and my mother screaming all the way. There was bright orange flames to the left and to the right and spookily overhead.

I reme, mber not feeling frightened, but fascinated with the bright orangeness oif it all and the heat and l remember clearly the poilceman saying when ewe got to saftey that three cars after us never got out.

Fire’s seriously deadly and the ash too.

I remember it falling for days later, falling like dirty snow.

      3. It’s really crazy to be driving through flames – extremely scary!

Well obviously you are meant to be here thankfully 😊

When I think about the ash falling – it makes me think of Pompeii 😮

For years I was fascinated with Pompeii and watched and read everything I could on it lol …

I am history and science person so I liked both the archeology of it, as well as, the history of what happened and who they were

        Was incredible how preserved 😮

But I always think of them because they were buried in 19 feet of ash and volcanic debris

It just makes me think of that every time rains ash.

And our fire is over 46,000 acres and still only 10% contained

Still raining some ash. But nothing like Pompeii lol thank god!!!

We do have a super volcano 🌋 under Yosemite so who knows 😮😳

      4. I loved Pompeii I have been twice.

First time I went when l was about 16 with my family. It was simply awesome . I love history and studies ancient history as a subject when at school and my love continued from there.

I used to think how the city must have felt when the ash was falling and how terrifying it all must have been.

When l visited in 1979, at that point they were still excavating but looking back at what l saw visible to what is visible today.

The second time l toured it was 1999, so twenty years later with my then wife. She hated it and l loved it. But goodness gracious me, if l thought the ruins l had seen twenty years previous had been impressive, l was wrong, twenty years later and wowee.

And still here in 2022 only two thirds of the city are unearthed – the rest is still covered.

If you can Trisha, try and visit.

      5. It was really fantastic, and the geek in me was overwhelmed by it all. My dad and l connected there in our love for history, one of the very few times and we were like two kids exploring – they were happy days.

That man should never have married and had kids, it was his undoing sadly.

      6. Awww well I’m glad it was a bonding moment for you ❤️👏 that is nice and good memories obviously 🙌

Well ya know – life has a way of being heavy sometimes and we are all only human. ✌️

You father was actually human also

And not everyone was cut out to be parents – back in those days that was what you did and what was expected

Sometimes life leads down difficult paths and past experiences can also haunt us

No one is perfect 😊✌️ we human

I say that but I do understand what you saying.

I’m glad you have moments of memories like that ❤️👏 too bad you didn’t do a lot more of that!
