  1. A Murder of Crows and a Mischief of Magpies – The magpies got the tag of mischief because of their dancing, prancing, stealing food, cackling maniacally, and causing a disruption to other birds. There’s a cartoon about magpies – “The Talking Magpies, Heckle and Jeckle.

    I found many articles written on “A Murder of Crows” and seems the reference came about because crows
    are seen as an omen; or a sign of some sort of darkness or distress.
