  1. Oh my goodness!! How beautiful that churchyard is!!

What is the age of the tombstones 🪦 – can you make out any of the years or have they weathered away?

Wow! That is stunning photo ❤️

      1. There are three graveyards here – St Mary’s is as old as St Clements [where the photos are from] and St Peters. The biggest and oldest l think is St Clements l will have a looksee and see where the oldest stones are as you have now sparked my curiosity also 🙂

      2. Back in New England – we have many old old cemeteries – nothing like that out here … nothing as old out here …

Sometimes in Massachusetts or Maine you could find graves from 1600’s…

I always loved to imagine the time and the life … also loved reading names you could make out… some names no longer in use.

        Always interesting ❤️

Be interesting to see your oldest in those – that is exciting!

      3. I will look and you are right with regards the names, l find some of the surnames especially interesting. But l have seen a few old English names on the stones, like Jacob, Abraham, Olive, Walter and Edith. Whilst you occasionally hear children or the elderly called these names, they aren’t as popular as they once were 🙂

      4. Ahhh Americans bring all those names back…

I have seen names like Mercy, Unique, Elektra, Faith – which I was surprised to see

Ephraim, and Festus … I used to know someone in todays era named Phineas – is cool name – he make it cool not nerdy lol

My name is old lady name lol ✌️😘

      5. My sister had a friend who’s parents were hippies – her name was Zephyr 😮

Ozzie lol … I just watched some Halloween thing with Jack going back to England and visiting childhood home cause is haunted lol

Ozzie’s children have normal names lol
