Do you simply hear what people say or are you a good listener to?

There’s a huge difference between listening and hearing, right?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

  1. I am good listener and observer …

That’s an important detail in my job

But it also depends on who is speaking or what they saying.

I can NOT listen to anything Trump says – so I just ignore him completely – ugh 😑 I can NOT stand that man!! Omg, I can NOT listen to one word from him!!

And if speaking badly, negative or taking away my rights – then yeah I don’t listen well ✌️😘

  2. I think the older I get the more often I find myself observing rather than listening, Rory. I find many tend to ignore old people more often than not, so few include us in a general conversation. I think they’re afraid of getting good advice they don’t want to hear. 😊 But, all kidding aside, I do try my best to focus on the person speaking and to listen and also to feel what lies beneath the words spoken out of respect and perhaps, in order to be helpful.

    1. Hey Betty, l think your observation of the young not wanting to listen is age old truth isn’t it .. we all thought when we were younger that we knew better, that times were different. However like you, as l have aged, l have come to realise that not all of the ol’ elder language back in the day was blarney 🙂
