Who Can Get From A to B to C to D? |

Look closely and you can see Suze’s thumbs down on Belinda’s load. Apparently she was unimpressed with her car being used again for an allotment run. |

I saw on the other hand a little car with a lot of heart … and a lot of wood … |

… doing a good job and holding her own! |

All the wood you can see on the shelf is the wood l had bought from Gazen Salts and needed to be shifted to the allotment – short and long pieces both, it made for a sizable quantity. |
Who Can Get From A to B to C to D? The answer is the City Girl Belinda! Although l would have to concede to her being more of a country girl now, much to Suze’s frustration, l know why. Suze’s last car Betsy was the ideal car designed for these long hauls and shifting of various materials. Betsy was a five-door ‘Wildlife’ Range Rover. Belinda is not even close to that status! She is a three-door ‘City’ Vauxhall Corsa Yet, kudos to this little car because she has a lot of heart! Yesterday we had to collect a lot of secondhand wood from Gazen Salts, which l had purchased or instead made a donation for. Same thing. The wood is for the allotment. We want to shore up fencing and make a low fence line of assorted heights for the old Polytunnel area. You’ll see it in due course as l will write about it later this year as one of the plot’s projects. I gathered the wood up last Wednesday and put it into the wood shelter to dry it. That time worked because if the wood had been soaked like it was initially, instead of Belinda managing to shift one hundred pieces of lumber in one sitting, it might have needed two to three journeys. We had to shift it from A – D in as little time as possible, and that was managed yesterday afternoon. Collection from Gazen Salts reserve [A] driven to the Allotment [B} and unloaded and either dragged in bags or wheelbarrowed to the plot across very wet grounds [C} and then moved from the plot into dry storage [D}. It took us two hours or just over by the time we got back to the house. But l am impressed with this little car that seems to enjoy these treks into the wilderness despite the thumbs down from Suze. Well, at least two thumbs down is better than flipping the bird, right? |

The country girl back and being made ready for bed! Hard frosts and snows are forecast. |

I just discovered I got unfollowed again!
Oh, my! It never ceases to amaze me how accommodating Suze and her little car is for you, Rory! She is a wonder! (You already know I think you are quite amazing yourself, Dear! 😊)
So glad all went well for you both with this project!

Hey Betty, l am more astonished at the frequency in which WP unfollows people from those that they follow. A handful of people have refollowed me again this week. is it a glitch all the time that WP are simply failing to repair.
Yes she is an absolute star, we have recently starting talking about trading her car in for an estate, we shall see 🙂

When Bud asked me 20 years ago what I wanted, I told him a pick-up truck and he got me a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. 😁 We have never regretted getting it, it has been so useful! Although I don’t drive anymore, I still love it – and so do all the guys in my family. 😊
