Quick Hacks

Cinnamon Sprinkles

A small but exciting hack l found was Cinnamon in the garden long back.
Simply sprinkling the powder into the soil that seedlings are planted within helps the fight against fungal diseases. True Cinnamon is a natural fungicide.

You can also use cinnamon tea on your seedlings, and it is effortless to make.

By adding 1 – 3 cinnamon sticks to hot water and allowing them to soak and dissolve and for the mixture to cool down and then pour the liquid into a spray bottle and shower the seedlings.

This, in turn, reduces any fungal presence and will also kill off feeding gnats.
It is a valuable spray to battle gnats, spider mites, whitefly, mosquitoes and many other annoying buggy pests feasting on your plants.

Also, ants don’t like Cinnamon, and l have used it occasionally to deter them from coming into the house. It doesn’t kill them, but they are not always keen to walk on it.

The cinnamon powder will deter bigger prowlers like mice, rats, and squirrels.
