I have a big problem with the word/concept ‘gratitude’ – which I have written about. I prefer ‘thankful’. Gratitude has the connotation, to me, of being a supplicant, and supplicant has the connotation of being lesser than – and I am not ‘less than’…
Hey Grace, each individual has an interpretation of gratitude – be this thankful, grateful, appreciative, satisfying, honoured and so on and l think each person uses the word which sits best with them 🙂
