Slender Leaf Marigold

Tagetes tenuifolia, the signet marigold, golden marigold or lemon marigold, is a species of the wild marigold in the family Asteraceae. It is widespread across most of Mexico, Central America, Colombia, and Peru.

Tagetes tenuifolia is an annual herb, sometimes reaching as much as 50 cm (20 in) tall. Leaves are less than 3 cm (1+1⁄4 in) long and deeply divided into many small parts. The plant produces many small bright yellow flower heads in a flat-topped array, each head with five ray florets and 7–9 disc florets.

The world’s smallest true primate weighs in at only 30.6 grams and is only 9.2 cm in length and is known as Madame Berthe’s Mouse Lemur and is in fact the smallest of all the mouse lemurs.

A blue whale’s heart can be heard beating 3.2 kilometres away from where it is swimming.

Cows spend up to ten hours a day grazing.

The iceberg that the Titanic struck and which then sunk the unsinkable liner was only displaying 30 metres of its true self above the waterline which according to the experts was only a fraction of its overall size. Survivors claimed that they saw the berg at 100 feet high and around 400 feet in length and possibly weighed 1.5 million tonnes. It is suggested that the iceberg calved from a glacier on Greenland’s West coast around 1910 maybe 1911 and as they only last two to three years after calving, it would have melted into non-existence by 1913. It was originally thought to have been 1700 feet long and weighed 75 million tonnes.

A pigeons pectoral muscles account for up to 40% of it’s total weight!
