Lavender Fields

Lavender Field

Lavender Fields

Lilac patches across green fields
Endless they seem to be
As I run with a joy that I haven’t felt
Since I was a youth
Across the tips of each flower
As their floral scent embraces my senses
Calming my emotions as golden light shines
With shadows of fluffy white clouds
Creating different shapes across the grass
Which I try and fail to grab
The memories of happier times
In each crunch of every green blade
And in every wisp of wind
I stop to enjoy the feeling
Whilst the flowers are swaying against my ankles
As I try not to crush the lavender
That I admire so much.
