Music – Eternal

Awaken

Am l my lover, to compare you to a lazy autumn day?
Or akin ourselves to a verse from Chatterley’s prose,
Perhaps reminding me of a romantic Shakespearian play,
Or again, simply content that you are my wild rose?

In years gone, we have borne witness to broken and blackened hearts,
And become undeniably jaded in our journeys,
Our emotions are hidden behind tortured yet coloured masks,
And still, we held the belief of forgotten sensuality,
That we might one day embrace again in a lost trove,
Finding happiness, purpose and balance,
Rediscovering an unhindered but wanting love,
And fall into each others’ loving trance,

And so though time kept us apart for longer than imagination,
Did we again fall into each other’s pathway?
The language of love, needing no translation,
Awakening our senses again to yesterday’s bouquet,
And when you are gone, do l miss mournfully your presence?
Pray tell my love how this can be,
For the air of my life is filled with your omnipresence,
For my darling wild rose, you are always near me,

Your scent lingers adoringly within my linen,
I hear you call my name in the whispers on the breeze,
Reminding me of your sensual touch when we lovingly sin,
And your breasts, whom oh so provokingly tease,
For truth be known, my lover, my wildest rose,
You are the woman in my dreams,
And the woman for whom this love-filled prose,
It fills my every thought, makes me whole and gives me meaning.
